Sadly, I think you are on the right track there. The way they are talking about going back to the strict interpretation of the Constitution means we may lose a lot of the societal privileges we have enjoyed. They have directly hinted at same-sex marriage, contraception, in-vitro fertilization, and more. When the Constitution was drafted, women could not own property or vote. Most were also given a 2nd class education. Rev those porn engines up while you can, because that may also fall or be restricted. With women starting to deny sex, the guys will need the relief.

MIL and FIL have their place on the market, but STILL have not even made a phone call on the place right across the street from us. I guess they are waiting for their place to sell?? We even told them we would cover the mortgage for them - not that they need it. They told The Husband they really want to live in an apartment building in town so that everything is close. Maybe that is one reason they are not making a move on this place. We tried to get them close to us so that we could be there to help, but... well... they are very stubborn old people!!

It is beastly hot here, and getting hotter. Most of us do not have AC, or ways to cool down. I feel worse for the elderly in the care homes. We will survive it. If I can live in Texas, I can manage Finland, right? Besides, it is really nice and sunny these days.
