I need some help/opinions?

Hi everyone,
I've been lurking around since you guys started this site, (avidly reading all your newsletters and posts.) First time posting though. Boy, it's hard to come out of "lurkmode!"

Anyway, this is my dilemma. I have had my amateur site for 3 years or so, (emelons.com) and have had a fantastic response. Great recurring membership. And for an amateur, niche site, incredible conversion. I have been happy with my numbers, keeping things lowkey and under the radar. But now, I would like to take the site to the next level.

I am not interested in going the magazine, or the hardcore route which is where it seems most amateurs end up.

I have joined link lists and top lists and exchanged banners with other people in my genre and that has worked well up to now.

So, to finally get too my question, I am thinking of doing some tgp's and free sites promoting my paysite. Is that the way to go? Or should I buy advertising? Or do all 3?

It is all pretty confusing and I really would love some input and any other suggestions from you guys that have seen and done it all.

(Whew! This isn't so bad afterall...)

Oh, and please forgive me in advance if I have screwed this message up. Html in general confuses me.

Cheers,
Serenity
