A Mac running the Classic OS will have to be restarted by hitting the reset button.
A Mac running X can get out of this by bringing up the task manager and force quitting the browser, (Command + Option + Escape). I just tried this on my Win2K machine and bringing up the task manager resulted in the machine crashing when I tried to end all the instances of IE running. I think Mac OS X is able to get out of this because no matter how many windows the browser opens up there is still only one instance of the browser app running. |
