as a gallery submitter i can tell you what he means by "standard" size

88x88 or 90x120

those are the most common sizes. but i have a few that i submit to that want 90x130 and 100x100

for me its not a big deal to make another sized thumb - it took me a while but i finally have a quick way to make pretty nice looking thumbs that are small kb size (using thumbs plus).
