How many Current Cubs/Red Sox players know of their curses and past? All of them??
Subconsciously, do you think there is a chance that they already Know the curse will continue?
I mean both teams 5 outs away from going on. That isn't a coincidence.
The fan in Chicago, well it didn't help, but didn't hurt either. The missed double play killed them.
Bet all you want on the Cubs/Red Sox - I just don't ever see them winning for at least another generation simply on the supposed "curse".
