A lot of people that don't live in NYS think the city is close to everyone
I once had a company buy me a plane ticket for an interview. They made the reservation for NYC. I had to tell them it would take me longer to get to the airport than to fly out of the country ![]() |

I'm another Upstater like Jim and Greenguy. I'm 3-4 hours away from the smelly apple. Outside of military service and brief employment in Japan, I have lived in New York state all of my life, but I've spent more time in Montreal than in NYC. NYC sucks. It's full of New Yorkers.
