I'd say something is in the wind. This is in the pimp roll affilates area, not quite word for word, but close:

EMAIL PROMOTION IS NOT TOLERATED
Sending traffic from email will result in immediate termination and all monies forfeited.

PimpRoll accepts no email promotion OF ANY KIND WHATSOEVER.

Any traffic from email will result in immediate account cancellation and forfeiture of all monies.
