Get a 25.00 circular saw. Cut the boards into 3 pieces.. don't bother measuring just cut. Perfect Outside lumber for a fire. Even a small 36" fire will burn 20-100 pieces per night. Well ok, 200+ on those 5am things. Nothing wrong with burning it, and you should be able to in your your backyard, just call the city to find out the codes. Our's is 36" or 48x24". There shouldn't be a smell, if so, just make the fire hotter. Well, ok, it's colder up here! You think I buy firewood??? lol
