You're not blacklisted, don't worry about that.

To be more accurate, your chances of being blacklisted are infinitesimally small.

What you are describing is totally normal. Just go back to building content on the site, build in links to and from other sites, and wait. You'll come back into the listings in a bit. It might take a few weeks to a few months.

You can try to get new pages into the listings with the "freshbot", but those types of listings typically only last a few days.

You need patience to catch most types of search engine traffic.

Holy shit, man, how do you have time to string 3 words of text together after all that analysis? ;-}

And I think the dupe content penalty percentage is a lot smaller than 20% (I know you are using that as a rule of thumb, and it's a good one.) I figure it's really not much more than 5%.

But, I figure, the more differentiation that can be built in, the better. Every single change in text and structure is like an innoculation against possible future penalties.

And, it makes the surfers happier as they are moving thru the pages. Unhappy surfers don't buy.

And I totally agree its probably smaller - I chose that based on some buffer for future Google "enhancements"
