all .xxx is gonna do is fuck up the SERPs for those of us that are targeting "xxx" and the only reason that registrars and such are supporting it is becuase it will line thier pockets.... it opens up millions of domain names for them to make money on... how about we all decide just not to use it, keep business as usual, and it will be a big fucking flop and will go away... and if it is "imposed" on us it will be shot down so fucking quick in the courts that we will all get rug burn from being shot out of our comfy little office chairs (or in my case my king size bed)

At $60 a pop - No thank you. At $12 I would have considered it, but would have still been unhappy that some fools who fail understand our business decided they should make some green adding another extension.

The best thing to do would be to boycott the new .xxx domain, but that could only happen if the link list and TGP owners agreed to blacklist that extenstion.

I guess what I meant was keep our existing domains but just get the same ones on the .xxx domain to maybe get some more traffic. But I tend to get confused about things sometimes.

If xxx is just for adult, how does this affect domain squatting ? For example, if I had set up www.google.info before Google got to it, they could get it off me, but Google is not a porn site, so if I buy www.google.xxx what right do they have to claim it?

there are some rather large players in the industry suporting .xxx as long as the .com owners get first dibs on thier according .xxx domains which is never gonna happen imo... there are sites offering pre-registry for .xxx but they offer no guarantee that you will get the domain you want and have non-refundable fees involved..... check out sex.com and scroll to the bottom of the page, they seem to have the inside track on some rather nice .xxx domains

Who are these "large players" in the industry that are supporting the xxx thing - I have yet to see one person that I know to be heavily involved in this biz support it - for that matter the only people I have seen support it are the guy that had the brilliant idea to push it in the first place to make a killing for his own biz and a few registrars that jumped on board when they saw how much they could make.
