On some of the pages I used the full url to the image instead of the relative url to the image.
Never heard of that making a difference in load time, either way the server still needs to look up the url of the images. On most of the pages except the root ones I did use the full url so that they would be potable when doing future updates., but mostly I did it this way because I didn't have access to the server and wanted to be sure that there where no broken images. This is new to me, but in this business you are always learning something new. 12 hours??? Damn Jim don't you use search and replace? That would have taken less then 5 minutes per directory using search and replace. What did you change on PhpAdsNew? I use it as well and anything that makes it serve banners faster is nice to know. |
