Gallery Links / Thumb Previews On Blogs

I've always been against excessive galleries and pics on blogs (or, as such blogs are often called, tgps), but I can see good reason to have at least one daily entry of links or thumbs. Essentially, you cover your bases. You can appeal to search engines and conventional, literate, blog-traffic with text and a mixture of theme and pics, while giving tgp/mgp surfers everything they might find on traditional sites.

What are your thoughts?

This is a visual medium. Males in general respond to pictures, females to words ( or so they say ), so a good number of thumbs isn't a bad thing to have. In fact I think I need to write more stuff on my blogs, maybe I have to many pics and not enough words.

I guess you need to find the balance.

the best blogs i believe find a balance between pictures for the visiaul folks and text for the engines + readers.
