Apart from proving you can do it, what is the point of this hack? I am not a Mac user, but I do prefer an Amiga over a PC, I only use a PC because there is more software for the PC than the Amiga, and I would guess that the reasons Mac users would use a PC would be similar. I can get several Amiga emulators for the PC, but never would bother. I have a PC on my desk, and an Amiga beside it. I use the PC for things I cannot do on the Amiga, and the Amiga for things I can. And I would assume that any Mac user "forced" to use a PC would do the same thing with a Mac, so would not need this hack.

RE "No one knows exactly why OSx86 appears to be running faster on the PCs than the Mac OS does on today's Macs." - It could possibly be that both AMD and Intel make chips that are a lot faster than the Power PC chips that drive Macs !!!!!! (In fact you would be hard pushed to buy a brand new PC CPU that is as slow as a Mac CPU).
The reason Macs run so fast is that their OS is a hell of a lot faster than Windows. So if you put A Mac OS on a machine designed for a slow clunky OS like Windows, then it is going to be a hell of a lot faster. |
