Back in 2002 i think, there were many rumors about how a link to google from your site can help your page rank, site inclusion etc.

So many people wanted some page rank so badly... and these exit links were all over the web.

and see which sites are ranked best for exit

Works great if you are already getting spidered and you happen to want to rank for "exit"

Otherwise, as mentioned before - its a waste of traffic and time
