Um perhaps you and Tally need to travel together! Children in France are being taught a second language before they are in high school and many if not most of them choose English.

Actually we are talking about different things. Lots of them know english but they don't want to use it. Even if your french is not too good - the most part of them will be tolerant with you.

They take care of their traditions too much. But only few of them (those who have very low intelligence) are big racists.
