Took the hint.

Halfdeck, read that thread again very carefully. The name calling and labelling came from one side of the discussion and one side only. When anyone said "looks like this could be prostitution", the answer was to say that we were little boys easily offended by the oldest profession.
As I said elsewhere: When you come to the table with an extreme manifesto and a huge chip on your shoulder, there is very little chance that your "opinions" are going to leave much space for anyone else, nor are they a good starting point for fruitful discussions. Alex |

Oh no, I'm sweating like Roger Ebert

Damn, my name popped up and now I gotta listen to the show. Oh well, hopefully it will provide a little fodder for the blog...it's been a bit boring lately without something to go on a rant about!

Halfdeck, I agree with what you're saying. Also I completely understand the frustration that webmasters like Furrygirl, Trixie, Kat, have to go through in this industry.
I personally never view anyone as "Content" and just that. I treat porn entirely like a business and I want to associate with people that treat it as such, right down to the models. I don't care about gender, I don't care about what avenue of porn you participate in, and I judge people based off of their professionalism. Also what Trixie said is valid, I respect her right to voice her opinions and they're good opinions. The only thing that did trouble me was the thread itself was sidetracked by something that wasn't really necessary at the moment. Also, I think some people got a little demonized and a bit unfairly. Unfortunately the side-effect is going to be harsh feelings, retaliation, etc. and that's not going to help anyone. I just hope that the thread, which is one of the best threads going if you remove the sidetrack, gets back on course. |
