I'm in the middle of a Mexican standoff and it SUCKS!

Man Pat I feel for you. I kind of understand where you are comming from. My wife constantly wants to move to Romania to be with her family. Me, well I know if I go there then life is going to get tough. Even tho the cost of living there is cheap, I know in the back of my mind if I don't have a job and money coming in then I will go crazy. But we are looking at this to be 10 years from now so I have time to change her mind.
For you, well you know what you are going to do. You are going to pack up and move with your wife. That's what all good people end up doing. Giving up their dreams for someone they love. But the bad part is will that person understand the dream was given up for them. I think if you go to Mexico you are going to be just as sad then if you went up north. Mexico means you will be alone every morning, or at best wake up with someone who you really don't know. Up north means you have someone you love and trust but you are just going to be cold and hot. This is a tough one man and I feel for you, but you will never seperate a mom from her kids, you know this already. Maybe an agreement where she goes to see the kids 1 month and they come to mexico the next month then you can plant some weed and mexicans and guns in the kids cars when they leave and they won't be able to come to the house anymore.

I tend to agree with spookyx on this one. Sounds like too much daily drama in Northern California.

Well, ya pretty much gotta get her moved, anyway, right?

I don't know what I'd do in that situation. Probably try a seperated marriage for a while. Live part of the time down south, part up north.

Who knows, maybe it won't totally suck up north.

Holy Fuck there's alot of paperwork involved with moving me and my boat South of the Border.
I need to find a can do guy, I don't have the patience it will take to push this all through
