Here's a simple piece of advice to get you started Nightsurf. Go to some of the link sites you're thinking of submitting to and surf the listings. Get a feel for how free sites are laid out and read the rules at the link sites. That simple exercise may help you to compose your questions a bit more clearly so we can help

One word of caution here, never ever copy someone else's work. I mean no offense by this statement, but given history...it's necessary to say this to someone new to the business.

One thing I can tell you for sure...free hosting will not fly with link sites. It's been far too abused and I seriously doubt you'll find any link sites willing to list free hosted sites.
