Here's a different concept for traffic I ran across yesterday. Screenblaze is a screensaver that shows webmaster ads. When you sign up with them, you download the screensaver and install it. Then you tell them what URL you want to promote. For every 10 minutes your screensaver runs, your URL is shown on another person's screensaver for a minute. So basically, your computer is promoting your site whenever you're not using it.
It's free and only takes a couple of minutes to set up. You also earn promotion credits at the same 1/10 ratio for a 10-level downline, so you earn display time from other people's screensavers if you refer them. Or if they refer people. Down 10 levels. That could really add up.
On the surface, this sounds like a silly idea, but it has a lot of possible applications if you think about it. Like you could use it to generate automatic hits to a toplist. I've got 3 computers in my office, so I signed up each of them with screenblaze to promote a different URL and get 2 levels in my downline at the same time.
