My good old Apple CRT has died 2 or 3 years ago so had to buy this LCD one, it is an ECS Elitegroup monitor, http://www.google.com/search?q=ECS+E...en-US:official
and I couldn't calibrate it properly because it doesn't support the core image? Or is it a Photoshop color settings issue?
So the pics look better in browsers but not ok, too bright etc.. in Photoshop they are live and colorful but when I save them they start looking weird again.

That is a Photoshop issue not a Mac issue or a monitor issue. I really have no idea how to get that old of a version of Photoshop to run properly under Mac X. Does that version even run under X or are you using it in Classic under X? If you are running it under X then there might be an update or a plug-in. Try poking around the Adobe support threads or doing some Googling about it.

Thanks hon.... yes PS7 or the updated 7.0.1. runs under OSX from day #1, 2002 But my favorite is still my fine tuned PS5.5, I used to do the vector graphics in Illustrator or FreeHand. I have CS or PS8 also just hate the dark and improper colors. Didn't find anything on google
