You Will Not Be Forgotten

I remember going to the war memorial in Washington DC a few years ago. Before I saw it, I thought it would just be a wall with names. But someone with us that had been before said that we would never feel the same after standing at the wall. I don't know if it was the number names listed or the silence or even the things left in remembrance but the guy was right. Vickie and I never said a word to each other in front of the wall and when we walked away, all we could say was "wow".

I thought the same until I visited it, but visiting it...it's just a powerful experience.
