This "discussion between blogs" concept isn't too far afield from chat boards. I've been participation in them, in one form or another, for almost 30 years dating back to my time as a CompSci major in college in the late 70's/early 80's. I despised baiting then and despise it today. It may generate lots of nice SE food, but it's way too easy to truly offend someone, and I simply find it distasteful. </my2cents> |

But I think the point is that we would not only help ourselves but also help eachother if we became more involved in the social aspect of blogging.
Maybe this was an extreme but it started some dialog. Not everything has to be an extreme. We could say nice things as well as an occasional zinger. Blogging works well but it works even better in mainstream because of the social involvement. On a side note, while definately NOT one of my better written pieces, today's post on XXX Blog Manaic is worthy of the original purpose of this post. Last edited by walrus; 2006-06-21 at 11:39 AM.. |
