you guys need to spend more time on http://www.mobileplanet.com or http://www.mobiledesk.com/ then....
 back in my road warrior days, I can remember many a rental car returned with 4 screwholes in the transmission tunnel where I mounted my laptop. Sue, mobiledesk.com has a sunshade for your laptop that allows you to use it outside... or you can cut a cardboard box up which is much cheaper.
