is that bigass ad for a sponsor up top. I thought it was a paysite at first. I still think surfers need to be kind of eased into the fact that to see the good stuff it'll cost 'em. Get 'em smiling with half a hardon, wanting more before you ask for the sale. Half page ads, especially up top immediately send a message that this is not free, regardless of how often you tell them it is.
As far as getting more traffic and a higher SE rating, try some link trades. There's a great section on this board for that.

So I guess I'll lose the sponsor banner at the top, not sure how to ease them at the top, perhaps just some large, teasing text perhaps? (A few tips would be helpful)
