Need some Freesite advice Please

Now, you would think that meant the index page but if I give you the URL to http://mydomain/freesite/main.html does main.html becomes an entry page? Who knows how Justice would interpete it.

I have heard that someone was writing a script to make everything go the index page to do a sign in before any of the other pages could be viewed.

For as I know lots of this stuff is up in the air so maybe our tip to newbies would be 'ask your lawyer'.

So many replies in so little time. I'm overwhelmed. Thankyou so very much everyone who took the time to look at my site and give me such advice. I got such great advice and I will be redoing the site today. I appreciated the constsructive critique from everyone. Undoubtedly you can count on an interpretation most favorable to their prosecution and least favorably to you.

What you point out is something that has been the squeaky wheel in my mind all along. Linking to anything other than a warning page would seem on the face of it difficult and making the 2257 act useless and unenforcable. Direct pages are commonly linked to and a webmaster can't be responsible for how his pages get bookmarked so that would suggest either 2257 info on every page or an act that has no practical usefulness whatsoever.
