Seems to me freesites and galleries are nothing more than a means to get traffic. Freesites get traffic from LL, LL get traffic because people know they list freesites. Same for TGPs and galleries.
I would imagine traffic sent to a sponsor with a tour that converts is what makes sales.

what I mean is can a good gallery/fhg replace a bad tourpage or convince the surfer it´s not shit afterall?

If that's what you're really after, why not just build a tour page yourself and have it link to the sponsor's join page?
