Hmmm.
Not sure if you know this already, but I'll risk offending your intelligence anyway! In Movie Maker you can specify the size of the saved file. Once the file is edited: Tasks.....Save to my computer....check the "Best to fit file size" and pick a size by adjusting the KB/MB and using the up & down arrows. I try and keep movies to under 1MB. Does anyone know a way of protecting .wmv files from being hotlinked using .htaccess, or is it impossible? Can you protect ANY movie files using .htaccess? ![]() |

I can't help with the weirdness, but if you follow Gary's advice you should be able to significantly shrink the size (1/2-1/3 original file size) of a mpeg without noticable quality loss with WMM.
Of course you then get the problem of hotlinking. From what I understand WMV can't be protected with .htaccess, but it works just fine with mpegs.

![]() that's good to know, I haven't really done much with WMM except for take screencaps so I have lots to learn. I'll try that & see what happens ![]() Quote:
I'll try the wmv, see if that solves the problem, and go from there. thanks guys! |
