I am looking for some more mainstream blogs for my new mainstream toplist.

I know the toplist is kind of a separate point, but if you're trying to boost your mainstream blog traffic with a toplist-like tool, maybe give www.blogbarrel.com a try. Kind of a global dynamic toplist, of sorts. The site explains the details. I just launched some blogs with it and have been pretty happy with the visits so far. It's a Typepad widget, too.
