No matter how good you are at something, there's always about a million people better than you

Nearly all the lists I submitted to, sent an email confirmation that details had been received. Three kindly sent emails back within around 24 hours saying listed, one other has listed but I only know this as I found it on their site. Is it general practice that most link list owners email you informing you one way or another if you have been listed and if I do not hear back or cannot find a reciprocal what is the standard expectations... I mean assuming I was not listed after 6-7 days can I remove the table and apply eslewhere or is this too soon. When do you enquire if everything is okay, I know I am probably being impatient as its the first one?

![]() However, some sites can take weeks to months to get listed. Actually, there's one that comes to mind that well over a year... It's quite impossible to say how long one 'should' wait before getting impatient, due to the individual nature of each list. Many subscribe to the 'submit it and forget it' methodology. Within reason of course... Myself, I'd say if you're not listed within a month...either send a message to the webmaster, ask in these forums...or dump em. Oh, and no...not all lists send acceptance/rejection mails. It's one of those learning curve things to figure out who's who and who does what... |
