You are lucky Linkster and I wish you luck in the future. Try searching cingular sucks in google. You will see a lot of stories like mine. I loved cingular until the middle of January and I have used them since they became cingular. The roaming charges started January. You might not have noticed it yet.

And, you only get charged for the text spam if you don't have text enabled. But, if you don't have text enabled, you can call them and tell them to stop all text messages.

Jim - I just went and looked from Jan 1 till today and the only calls Ive been charged for is a total of $1.60 for 3 different calls to Spain - all the roaming calls are showing as no charge

Linkster, maybe your case is the same as my phone. I have 5 in total but my personal phone was setup back when Cingular offered unlimited service. I think that ended years and years ago but since that was my plan, it was Grandfathered in. I pay $49.95/month for my phone. Month after month the same. But, the other 4 phones combined fluxuate between $300 and $500/month.
