Hi Licker4U,

There is another thread that mentions SiteAdvisor...

Perhaps WegCash disables the back button, I really dont know why they are on that list, I promote Wegcash.

I think in general using no pop up links is also probably the best, Some sponsers pop alot of windows and I don't know if thats what does it with this SiteAdvisor thing.

I had, some time ago, cleaned up all my links and used no pop up links and they gave me a green check mark.. LOR also has a green check mark and I dont think Greeny uses pop up links either.

I wrote them when I frist noticed them, it seemed to of helped.

Licker - there are many paysites that are in that type of listing and it seems to be something to do with the pop-up chain having a bad advertiser in it - most sponsors dont check their advertisers in the exit pops very well - and some advertisers add things that shouldnt be added like trojans etc
Like I said though - the sponsors usually dont have anyone checking those very well - I pointed one out to another sponsor a while back and they had to finally drop the advertiser

As far as Google - nobody really knows if it affects you in the long run although they say that it doesnt

I came across this when the other thread mentioned came up... I had the same message because of Wegcash. I do however worry about it. There is something going on to make that say that, it doesn't just happen randomly.

I'm not sure how much it actually effects your site, but I like to be safe.

So maybe anyone using McAfee gets that warning popped up when they try to access my hub? Now that could be bad.

Jim - from the Google end yes - we looked at some sites that were completely red and they still had fantastic listings in Google

As far as the sponsor exit chains - I can tell you that if you bring it up to the sponsor they usually will take care of it as like I mentioned before - most of them dont monitor their advertisers pops - and appreciate it when you point it out - not that I feel its the affiliates job

Site Advisor is full of shit. I checked out my own site, red flags all over for sponsors I didn't even promote, said I was based in Czech Republic, funny, last time I checked my server was in Denmark, and I'm in the UK. And try to tell them they're wrong and it's "ummm...okay, we'll get someone onto it" and 3 months later the same info is still displaying. McAfee need a good kick up the arse on this

Hi there,

This has previously been brought to our attention and we contacted McAfee immediately to find out what the problem was and how we could change the listing.

Unfortunately McAfee isn't very helpful and doesn't like to reveal their methods and so their response was very vague but it appeared that this listing had something to do with our exit consoles. We have since reduced the number of exit consoles we have on the sites to try to accommodate this factor.

We have requested a retest by McAfee so that our sites can be listed properly. They have assured us that they have 'accelerated' us in their list, but we still have to wait for their bot to check our sites again before the listing will change.

Please rest assured, we are doing everything in our power to change the listing in McAfee's Site Advisor and we appreciate you letting us know.

Thanks Ruth. WEG Cash isn't alone. Seems I have links to sever other sponsors that are red flagged as well. I think you're right, it must be exit consoles.
