Need help with my blog

Hi all,

I've been blogging for a while, got my traffic up quite well, got some great SEO done... but yet... minimal or no conversions! I don't get it! What am I doing wrong?

I'm not sure whether this would be the correct place to post this in but if you could help me on my way to conversion-land, i'd be ever so happy :-)

Isabelle I hope you don't mind me borrowing your thread but could someone tell me if posts like these would be considered as "good posts". And if not ... what would you change?

I think I would lose the "Space Invaders" header
try to make each post longer (I did a word count on the first post only 70 words).
Personaly I think the posts would look better if you wraped the text around the photo, something like this:

Good catchy paragraph goes here and will wrap around photo

All the videos are from daily motion (at least the ones I looked at) but where are the chicks in the video. I had a hard time finding your sponsor link and I was looking for it. What would a surfer do....watch the video and since shit wasn't obvious move on. Make the sponsor link more obvious and make sure that the link to the sponsor links to the girl you are featuring. Lose the daily motion crap unless they are the ones your trying to promote.

The name of your blog is readers wives....tell the story first person. An abbreviated version on your most recent post...."I got home tonight and my wife Desiree was dressed up as a naughty little school girl. Both of these blogs look good, but could use some more text, IMHO. The text in the posts isn't enough, and doesn't do much for me - not too much tease factor.

You left out too much information.

No offense, but I see so many people say they are getting good traffic, but many times it's not much. Also, where is the traffic coming from? How much is SE? Where is the rest coming from? Traffic quality can vary greatly.

Most important, how many surfers are getting to your sponsors? How many to one given site? You could send a bunch to a mega sponsor that ends up a little per individual site.

Maybe your sponsors suck? I have some of those.

One thing I noticed on the first blog, you don't push them hard to the sponsor. Your using sponsor provided youtube type embedded clips, with the sponsors url always on the clip. The surfer could just go up top, type in the url and bypass you. The sponsor url on the video is also much bigger than the text link you put for the sponsor. Just a thought.

One of your ads is in german? The Anna one on the sidebar. If your targeting americans, how many will know what that is?

You just need good underpromote sponsors with RSS feeds. In my blogs I use only RSS feeds and going very good Traffic is another thing...Your blogs look good but you need more hardlink trades. If you want sponsors with good RSS feeds just PM.

So your advice is to use sponsor provided RSS feeds that could lose SE traffic because of duplication?

Yes. With a lot of backlinks and good PR i think his SE traffic will be the same... A lot of fresh content updated hourly or daily will increase bookmarks and visits from RSS syndication sites in my opinion.

Agreed on the amount of text. What looks really nice is when you have enough text to align with the pic at the tip and come all the way down past the bottom of the image. Kinda like a magazine or newspaper article.

Also, and this seems a tad weird but seems to work for me, add a 2px border around your images. Seems to nicely frame them and stand out a bit more.
