The only down sides i could think would be less pr returned possibly from not being on the index page. Possibly less traffic coming back from not being on the index.

No LL owner would want their recip link on main pages. It has been a rule for quite some time to not submit doorway pages like enter.html. It has to do with seo and the weight of index.html compared to somedoorway.html. When we start to see all the linklists dropping of google we might want to change this but not now.
