I've been doing movie galleries for years, so here's my take: 1) Clips should never be encoded. For slicing and dicing the clips, I use Video Edit Magic 2) I prefer .wmv since they are more compact than .mpg for the same running time. But I should warn you that .mpg files are more universally accepted by TGP/MGP webmasters. 3) My galleries have 4 vids and a running time of about 18 sec per vid. You need to find a common dominator since some webmasters want atleast 3 vids or minimum of 1.5 MB file size or 20 sec running time. 4) 320x240 resolution |

I use a little freeware program that lets you step through MPGs frame-by-frame to select the best image.
