they were probally lucky to give him 23 months with as much money he has
its nice to see you cant always buy your way fully out of trouble should have been manditory 5 years at least

The max was 5 years, but Federal guidelines for a first time offender is 12-18 months, so the judge did give him more time than the recommeded guidelines.
What that means is that there is no way he can even think about resuming his football career until the 2010 season. If the league then makes him serve another years suspension, which seems likely based on prior precedents and comments I've read, then make that the 2011 season. After three or four years out of the league his skills will most likely have diminished to the point where he'll be little more than a backup somewhere. And as far as any endorsement deals if/when he returns to football, there won't be many and they won't be big ones. He'd best learn a new trade while he's doing his time, "yawantfrieswiththat?" I think that fucker should have to take care of 200 chihuahuas for 23 months...with a shock collar around his neck and get zapped every time he fucks up or losses control of 1 of the 200 chihuahuas...
