I run a large monitor and never have my browser window full size. With the way your previous template looked, there was a slight amount of text running along the side of the picture. One or two words per line.

Maybe it's just me and one of my pet peeves but I hate that.

Changing templates fixed your blog but I wouldn't change my template to use your feed.
