Good 2008 morning world

Up early and out for a bike ride. Easy to do since I didn't go out, didn't drink, and didn't stay up late. Fun guy here.

Found my big box of fireworks from years past, and got a candle and a big box of kitchen matches, and put them right by the couch around 11 pm last night. Which was exactly where they were at 1:15 am this morning when I woke up on the couch, having completely missed midnight. I guess the fireworks will have to wait until the 4th of July or something now.

Really enjoying the morning bike rides. And I've only gained a pound or two since I started them on the 20th of last month. I think the problem is I want a bigger breakfast when I get back.

Oh well, enough about me.

Wishing everyone a 2008 with conversion rates more like 1998.




P.S. For those who care, or maybe even remember how to strut, WGN has the Mummers Parade from 2-6pm (EST) today. Don't be fooled, it's not really all about the parade. For over 100 years, Philadelphia has had a tradition of the best 7-mile long daytime (drunken) block party on New Year's Day anywhere.
