Good Friday and Happy August Everyone!

Morning All. I'm hoping that my dreams come true today. I called at&t like I do every few months on Wed, and begged for them to turn up my speed on my crappy slow 786 kb/s dsl. I'm a bit over 3 miles from the central office, but the tech said my lines were good when he installed it, and I could get faster speed.

Wellll instead of the same ole runaround, they said that I qualified for the elite plan at 6 MEGS/s plan! I guess they finally built a node in Pahrump, and from what the tech was saying, it must be practically in my backyard to get this kind of speed.

I'll believe it when I see it, but if this is flipped on today like they promised, it will be the fastest speed I've ever had, and will be the first time in 4 YEARS I'll have something faster than about 1 MEG/s consistently.

So other than waiting for some big announcement I've heard rumors of, I'm waiting for this fast speed I've been promised. Sounds like good day all around.
