Just in case you missed these...
"Stranger in a Strange Land" and many others by Robert A. Heinlein "Ender's Game" and "Speaker for the Dead" by Orson Scott Card (and if you like those, there's Xenocide, Children of the Mind, Ender's Shadow, Shadow of the Hegemon, Shadow Puppets, Shadow of the Giant, and A War of Gifts...and other books not in that series).
