Despite my better judgement, I'm gonna make a post in this thread.

The regulars here can get a bit snarky sometimes and I occasionally think you need to pull back a bit because it can get a trifle negative around here.

Nonetheless, I appreciate that this board is the most female-friendly place to post and I'm gonna say thanks for making it that way - including through picking up on stupid, irrelevant posts.

A few months ago I thought I'd introduce myself on the AskDamageX board because it looked like they were all keen on doing business there. The very first post after my introduction said:

"Post pics pls"

Fuck that pissed me off. The new guys were all heartily welcomed with a "How you goin' bro?" but I got that shit. I drafted all kinds of replies but in the end decided that I wasn't going to get business done that way. Women who complain about that kind of shit are just "whiners", and I would end up attracting negative attention to our program. So I let it go.

This is why GG&J is my home board. Nobody does that stuff... and, indeed, it's made extremely unwelcome when it appears.

It doesn't matter what anyone looks like here, it's how you do business that counts.
