I concur, your page width is too wide. A third of your surfers are still using 1024 wide screen resolutions.

You've chosen a very competitive and highly saturated category to promote. You need to make your site stand out a bit from the rest to give surfers a reason to come back to your site daily instead of one of the many others. I'm not seeing that at this point.
