The thing is, it makes no sense to use a less secure version of ie

If you are going to use IE...you are better off with the most secure version IE8

Oh I know..you're absolutely right. That was the purpose of this whole thread..because I know I have to upgrade but I'm just so scared I will screw everything up doing it...sigh. I think I will wait until the weekend when I will have some non business time to fix things if they go wrong, and then upgrade to IE8 .

Other than what I mentioned I can't tell a difference, although I don't use a lot of Windows features
