A "z" won't work for the acronym. If the word were "girls" that could be an acronmy for "Girls In Really Loose Skirts" "Girle In Really Lose Zkirts" just wouldn't work.

There are times when hyphens are appropriate. In Licker's case, I think it would work if he can really brand the acronym so that people, when they think of his site, think of G. I. R. L. S. and not GIRLS

I tried using .'s but the registrar wouldn't take it like that. I guess it needs to be a - or a number
