When you break copyright on the Internet you are doing so in all countries, so if the statute of limitations has run out in one country, sue them in one that does not have the same statute of limitations.

The problem here is not the "dumbass Yanks" 3 year statute of limitation, it is the "dumbass Yanks" inability to realise that some things may be better outside the USA, and sometimes it is better to take your business abroad, rather that assume America is best in all things.

That at least is complicated by a number of 'unclean hands' (Viacom employees uploading content) issues. The porn producers here are at least clean : )

What Viacom employees did has no bearing on the issue, and is just smoke & mirrors. If I upload a clip to a tube, that does not give the tube the right to go and upload every clip I have without permission.

The bottom line is that the Youtube owners were uploading content illegally, were aware it was illegal, were making money from it's use, and Viacom has evidence showing it.
