How Many Free Sites Do You Submit....

I'm curious, the people that don't submit free sites any more, why not?

You do all TGP/Pic Post/Twitter/FB/Something else instead?

Moved on to different things?

No traffic, less traffic?

Poor conversions?

All of the above?

I know I originally stopped doing as many because with paid TGP submits, I could get much more traffic in front of my galleries than my free sites.

But, free sites still sell for me, so now I'm doing both to try and beef up my income. And I can only submit so many TGP's a day, and this gives me twice the exposure, even if it doesn't give me 2x the traffic.

Quoted for truth. I'm working on building up a bunch of blogs. Both tube blogs and regular picture blogs. Both niche based ones as well as a whole porn star network. I have a lot of work to go.

I know we had talked about AVS sites and i purchased a bunch of content and have been so lazy on that front getting that out the gates. Ugh. It's one thing that before year end NEEDS to get going.

Bah. So much work to get done. What I will say is I'd rather be in that position with ideas to try then not have a clue of what to work on.

Less traffic, less sales, basically less ROI. Add to that the strict rules that hinder (yes I know they are there for a reason - bookmarkers to the LLs - I've zero problem with that, and wouldn't try and tell a LL owner what his or her rules should be), and it's a far better use of my personal working time to produce sites that I have 100% control over my amounts of content, ads, popunders, sales text, questionable blind links, amount of link trades, and so on.

I hear the people who say they do FS as an addition to those types of sites, but personally speaking, I do an additional same type of site, where I can do all the aforementioned (1st time I've ever used that word I think lol).

Anyway, there's my reasons for no longer doing free sites

Did a run of free sites late last year for a month, and made some sales. Not really worth my time, but still you can get a bit of traffic.

Would start again if the LL / Freesite model reinvented itself .. eg more content, more sensible recip rules, allow a ton more recips or possibly a single main page with them all, allow more marketing and marketing methods, etc etc. Oh and getting with the times and allowing submitters like Chameleon ... the days of manually submitting are long gone and unneccessary.

I think freesite submits are still worth doing for a newbie or someone where getting an extra few sales a month is a big deal, but for higher volume peeps its probably not worth the time.

I use Chameleon for TGP's, but I use Robo Form's Filler for link lists. I have a page of links to the submit page, click the link go to the page, opening them on a new tab. Right click on the form, it fills it out, some I have to change a few things, then click submit. Its not quite as fast, but since I submit to the same ones over and over, I can submit a site in like 3 - 10 seconds for the most part.

And yea, I still have issues at times with it filling out my Name for the NAME of the site (and don't catch them occasionally) but for the most part, it works really well and is fast.

I then turn around in a week or so, and use one of the galleries for submits to TGP's, bringing in fresh traffic, and spider action. Then a few weeks later, submit the other gallery. Then 1 to 3 months later, I watch google and yahoo traffic come in. So over the long run, it is worth it to me.
