I've been putting all that I learned about using Dreamweaver and css to use so that I'll retain what I learned.
Dreamweaver doesn't seem like a very good tool for doing galleries and free sites. It seems to be more geared towards doing business websites. So will continue using GoLive for free sites and galleries. Skinning the YUI menu has been a good exercise for putting to use what I've learned over the past few weeks. Redid the little menu at the top of the board with a YUI menu. The nice thing about the YUI menu is I can add drop-down menus if needed. |

I use Dreamweaver to build gallery templates, but I use Arles to process the images. I've been a DW user since the first Windows version was released in 1998.

Where it really falls flat though is site management. GoLive always had better site management and I was hoping that Adobe had brought some of that over into Dreamweaver but if anything it has gotten worse. Its site management is about as bare bones as a FTP window. GoLive's site management. |
