Thursday June 2nd (aka My Grandmother's 95th Birthday...)

I kind of like the spirit here in Finland. We still celebrate birthdays even if the person is dead. My husband Petri still visits the graves of his grandparents and leaves flowers and candles for them several times a year including birthdays. August 2014 would have been my grandmothers 120th birthday. We don't obsess, but we don't forget either.

Husband is out of town until late Saturday night at a graduation party, so I am enjoying the peace and quiet, getting some stuff done.
