Saturday December 24th (aka Santa Arrives On Earth Tonight)

Got some work done earlier today - before we had our Christmas dinner with my in-laws. Then we went by the cemetery in his home town to leave candles for his grandparents. It's really a lovely tradition - so peaceful. Almost the entire graveyard was lit with softly flickering candles. I think almost everyone was either there or in the church because as we drove home, the town was empty. The only places we saw open were one bar and a kebab place owned by non-Finns. Christmas Peace was officially declared today at noon, and from the looks of Eura, everyone took the opportunity to be home (or at the church/graveyard). So, back to work for me for a bit..
