Oh! Say it ain't so!! What will all those XP users do now? Go back to Hotmail? Seriously, though the release does mention that using the older operating systems does pose a security risk. Guess that means the tiny netbook I brought to Finland 6 years ago will now be officially retired.

Actually other way about. New viruses/hacking methods are usually aimed at the newest version of Windows and often simply don't work on the older ones.

However as I only really intend to use the Vista box for watching TV on Amazon and possibly DVDs, it does not matter either way. ( Because I'll be using the XP computer for serious work.)
