Wednesday, July 12th - Another Day At The Circus

And a hot one, too. Not by heat wave standards, but we are in the upper 70's today and with houses that retain heat, it is hot. Already 80 in my workroom. That is with the windows open and fans going. No air this year as The Husband hasn't gotten around to it yet.

His mother decided he needs to install the sauna stove (kiuas) TODAY. Yep, late last night he told me they are coming for the day to help him install the stove in the sauna. I can only imagine how long this will take as he will have 3 people in a tiny dark room trying to work. The benches take up half the room, so there is a narrow walkway that all 3 will be standing in. The tiny window will be behind them, so the spectators will block out any natural light in the room. Wednesday is cleaning day, which means today it all gets done this morning. So far, he has not lifted a finger.... typical. I asked him what he is planning on feeding his parents, as we have to feed them and offer coffee at least once. He had no clue. (edit -- wait, he did empty half of the dishwasher. Half. Jeeze.)

It is going to be a long, hot day here. I had best get to it.

Good Morning

Need to take care of a couple of things today since I leave tomorrow, hopefully before 5:30am to beat LA traffic and get to my destination before the heat really kicks in and drive lasting only 2 hours versus 2 1/2 plus. I'll actually stop for breakfast at Cracker Barrel by their house first. I loves me some Cracker Barrel and this is the closest one to where I live and don't get it that often.

Daughter and BIL are having are hard time "adulting" and that make it more difficult for me. Sigh. Just working away here with my dog beside me trying not to dwell on things.
